When choosing a DSL carrier, Here are a few things that you might want to consider:

  1. What type of DSL service the ISP provides. For example: IDSL, ADSL,or SDSL.
  2. Find out the maximum speed possible both upload and dowload.
  3. Make sure to compare pricing.
  4. Find out what equipment will be installed.
  5. Compare installation and setup fees, if any.
  6. Look for an ISP that will give 24/7 Tech Support
  7. Compare Service Level Agreements (SLA)

Regardless of which DSL carrier you choose, the actual DSL line comes from your local telephone company.
