Telesyn 410S routers are general purpose low cost, high function routers. This router was especially created for mid-range branch offices that require a higher level of security in addition to routing capability. Provides the functionality of both a router and a security appliance. Also features the flexibility required to meet the most demanding and evolving business requirements such as voice, broadband and leased-line access. One of the fine features of this security device is it's Nemesis firewall.

Allied Telesyn’s Nemesis firewall implements dynamic packet filtering (also termed stateful inspection and Context-based access control (CBAC)) — the benchmark in firewall technology. Because the firewall understands specific types of traffic, it is able to dynamically setup controls which provide contextsensitive security. This method typically allows faster operation than an application gateway.

This unit is also capable of terminating a T1 with full wire speed throughput. It has 4 VLANable ports with an additional Fast Ethernet port or Ethernet uplink or DMZ. The metal chassis is fully rack mountable.
