Corporate Accountant

Fixed assets:

 

• Process owner of the fixed assets accounting process.

• Process monthly depreciation posting.

• Preparation and reconciliation with GL of Fixed Assets report.

• Reconciliation of depreciation costs with BS movement.

 

Treasury and cash management:

 

• Posting of bank statements in the accounting system.

 

Account Payable:

 

• Vendor accounts creation.

• Prepaid accounts review and reconciliation.

 

VAT return preparation:

 

• Preparation and submission of monthly and yearly VAT returns and reports related.

• Reconciliation of VAT accounting balances with VAT returns.

• Review, analysis and audit of VAT booked ( AP & AR ).

• Coordinate with external partner the refund of foreign VAT.

• Preparation and support to any VAT external audit.

 

Closing transactions:

 

• Posting of any types of journal entries related to his responsibilities.

• Prepare balance reconciliation.  

• Monthly’s closing footnote support.

• Equity reconciliation.

 

Back-up:

 

• Review and clean-up of cash in transit/unsettled accounts.

• Manual customer invoicing.

• Expense notes accruals.

 

Audits:

 

• Give appropriate support to internal and external audit.

• Bachelor in accounting or equivalent by experience.

• At least 2 to 5 years as an accountant in a GL role

• Good skills of Excel.

• Technical knowledge of accounting processes.

• General knowledge of accounting principles.

• Conceptual understanding of ERP systems ( Netsuite ).

• You’ll need to be customer orientated with business Acumen, managing relationships & communicating effectively, taking direction & responsibility.

• Fluent in English and French.

• Someone who is accurate, has a positive mind-set, and gets things done.
