We are looking for a Event Planner Intern who will be responsible for assisting the Corporate Event Manager in completing the coordination, execution, and success of all internal Bandwidth events, to include departmental meetings up to company-wide events during Summer 2022. This position allows the leaders and managers at Bandwidth to focus on their revenue based missions and event content while the Corporate Event Planner Intern helps to handle the logistics and budget of said events. This position entails industry
networking/research, venue visits, any catering, and on-site execution of events from start to finish

What You’ll Do:

Event Management:

  • Assist with coordination of internal Bandwidth events, to include both in and out of office, company wide and
    • Coordinate with IT/AV department to be sure all technology and AV needs are met
    • Coordinate with Office Services/Facilities Team to be sure room and furniture setup and teardown needs are
  • Assist with project managing corporate events from start to finish, including:
    • Assist in the selection of event vendors and staff
    • Supervise the set-up, running, and break down of the event, identifying and resolving problems.
    • Track event expenses and review accuracy of invoices
  • Plan catering as needed for meetings and events

Vendor Management:

  • Establish relationships with vendors, to include attending networking functions
  • Maintain vendor database 
  • Assist with negotiation and review of vendor, venue, and hotel contracts

Office Services Team Assistance:

  • Assists in staffing the front desk and Office Services Team as needed

What You Need:

  • Working towards a Bachelors degree in Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management, Hospitality Management, Business, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or a equivalent course of study
  • Event planning experience preferred 
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances on short notice 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Experience with G-Suite (docs, sheets, presentations)
