Software Developer IV

Software Developer IV (Raleigh, NC) Duties: As part of a fast-paced agile software development team, design systems and tools that integrate with external vendors as well as internal services provided by Bandwidth. Collaborate with teams design and implementation efforts to build, develop and architect highly scalable and reliable software solutions. Participate in the team’s agile software development process by using Scrum and other agile principles to contribute throughout the entire Software Development Life Cycle. Develop unit and functional/integration tests. Support production deployments of developed solutions. Design software systems using object-oriented programming fundamentals and design patterns, relational database systems and languages such as Python, Java and Java tools and technologies. Build and document REST and SOAP APIs. Build and engineer (SIP) voice, video and messaging applications as well as scalable cloud applications. Solve, develop and debug asynchronous systems. Test frameworks and patterns using jUnit, mock objects, and test-driven development. Develop in a Linux/Unix environment using Git for source control. Work with Open-source software development platforms such as Docker containers and Kubernetes.

Required: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or related plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or related position.

Must have: 5 years of experience with Java, Service Oriented Architecture, RESTful Web Services and Oracle Database. 5 years of experience developing SIP related applications/services. 5 years of experience with Distributed System technology. 3 years of experience developing software solutions by following scrum, agile practices, and Software Development Life Cycle. 3 years of experience with Spring, Jenkins, Javascript, Maven and Garbage Collection.
