What We Are Looking For:
Switched Access Management is responsible for a variety of on-net switched access & off-net vendor cost analysis and traffic routing. As a Toll Free Planning Specialist, you will identify areas of cost savings opportunities, execute routing changes in SMS/8MS, or other tools, focus on template management in SMS/8MS and network capacity management tasks/projects, and work with a variety of internal teams to review and improve internal processes related to capacity planning and management.
What You’ll Do:
- Responsible for collaboration with Toll Free Product Manager for managing, planning, and supporting toll free products.
- Assist with development of new processes and optimization of existing processes for both new and existing product offerings, and training Bandmates.
- Update and maintain toll-free routing templates in 8MS, SOMOS, SSI/URS or other routing system(s).
- Analyze Feature Group D, Direct Connect & off-net vendor variable cost components for potential toll-free routing changes and cost-savings initiatives including investigating new, cost-effective ways to generate toll-free routing templates to drive down unit cost.
- Work with the Network Operations Center and Capacity Planning departments to manage onnet and offnet trunk ordering and capacity.
- Provide regular reporting including, but not limited to footprint, utilization, routing changes & cost-savings analysis/initiatives.
- Monitor network capacity and make routing changes, as necessary.
- Update and maintain Feature Group D, Direct Connect and offnet vendor cost files and other traffic components in systems.
- Provide input and assistance for template routing data.
- Review vendor contracts and tariffs as well as investigating CDR data to ensure appropriate vendor costing.
What You Need:
- Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years relevant voice telecommunications work experience
- 5+ years voice telecommunications experience & Business Analysis
- Knowledge of LERG, Toll Free routing via SOMOS, 8MS, Network Capacity Planning
- Skills: 8MS/SOMOS toll free routing, Advanced Excel skills, Microsoft office
- Ability to professionally communicate effectively externally, and internally to build and maintain relationships.
- Ability to facilitate issue resolution, and process improvement with strong attention to detail and multitasking capability

- Telecom network routing, and contract review experience
- Knowledge of Switched Access Tariffs, Interconnection Agreements
- SOMOS RESPORG Certification
- SQL knowledge
- TEOCO URS knowledge
