How Bandwidth is Involved with SMS
People love to text, whether it’s with a friend or a business. It’s quick, easy, and effective. Businesses use Bandwidth SMS to incorporate texting as a part of their application or software—it’s an easy way to move the sales needle, care for existing customers, or share news with friends or colleagues.
Bandwidth provides two texting functionalities to allow your business to integrate SMS. With SMS Messaging Gateway, businesses can text-enable phone numbers and maintain total control over their own SMPP (SMS) and MM4 (MMS) servers. Bandwidth’s other SMS integration offering is our SMS Messaging API. The API enables our customers to incorporate SMS into their products seamlessly. However, our messaging services don’t stop at SMS. End users have the ability to send and receive pictures, videos, and audio, while also using group messaging and toll-free texting. These capabilities can be added into a business app in just a few minutes.
Bandwidth’s SMS Messaging API offers a variety of features that allow our customers:
• Ability to add emojis, pictures, audio, and more
• Long message support
• Dependable delivery
• Global reach
• PIN codes and notifications
• Bi-directional unicode
• Redundant network
