What's happening?
Starting November 1, 2025, Microsoft will introduce a new configuration option that gives operators the ability to enable or disable on-behalf-of outbound PSTN call scenarios for their customers. This includes:
Call Queue agents making outbound PSTN calls on behalf of a Resource Account
Auto Attendants or Call Queues making outbound PSTN calls
Callback PSTN calls initiated from a Teams Call Queue or Auto Attendant
Calls made on behalf of another user via Graph API / Phone System Extensibility
What do I need to know?
We want to assure you that Bandwidth will continue to support and allow all on‑behalf‑of outbound PSTN calling scenarios for Microsoft Teams voice applications, and we have no plans to disable these capabilities.
If Microsoft requires any configuration changes as the rollout approaches, Bandwidth will implement those updates and proactively communicate them to ensure a seamless experience.
What do I need to do?
If you’re a Bandwidth customer, no action is required. If you receive a Message Center notification, you can confidently confirm that Bandwidth supports all of the abovementioned scenarios.
