SIP Trunking is live on Bandwidth Build

Bandwidth Build now supports SIP Trunking. Bring your own infrastructure and route calls exactly where you need them, without leaving your trial.

Manage SIP trunks and routing configurations directly in the app or through the API. Set up routing to IPs, phone numbers, domains, or a SIP URI. Do it in a few clicks or a few lines of code.

Building a voice AI agent? SIP Trunking on Build gives you a direct path onto the Bandwidth network. Because we own and operate our network end to end, your AI agent gets low-latency, reliable SIP traffic without an extra hop through third-party infrastructure.

The Bandwidth CLI covers the full setup: create realms, credentials, and voice configuration alongside your trunk, all from the command line.

SIP Trunking runs on the same free trial credits as everything else in Build, alongside inbound and outbound calling, voice AI applications, IVR and call flows, and call recording and transcription. It’s all built on the Bandwidth Universal Platform.

This is for US phone numbers only. Set it up in the app or through the Bandwidth CLI.

Get started at bandwidth.com/build-sign-up.

10DLC Registration Center – UI Access

10DLC campaign registration is now avaialble in the Bandwidth App, bringing 10DLC into the same interface you already use for short codes, making it easier to manage your messaging registrations in the US and Canada. Below are features that rolled out with UI access for the 10DLC Registration Center:

Reseller sharing across accounts: Brands can now be shared natively across multiple Bandwidth accounts. Resellers can manage campaign across sub-accounts without duplicating brand records or using workarounds.

Advanced sorting and filtering, now in the UI: The sorting and filtering capabilities released with the 10DLC Registration Center API are now available in the Bandwidth App.

Secure your off-net Lumen numbers with a port-out PIN

You can now add a port-out PIN to your off-net Bandwidth phone numbers hosted on Lumen’s network, managed through either the API or the Portal UI. Once a PIN is added, anyone attempting to port that number away from Lumen must provide the correct PIN — a matching PIN allows the port to proceed, while an incorrect or missing PIN blocks the request. This works the same way PINs already work for on-net numbers, and end users should choose and manage their own PINs.

This feature is optional and requires no action on your part. Your current inventory won’t change if you choose not to use it.

RCS Registration Center – Test Number Management

Contracted RCS customers can now add and manage test phone numbers for pre-launch agents directly in the Registration Center. No ticket, no email to the Bandwidth team required. Before submitting for commercial launch, test numbers let you confirm your agent is delivering messages correctly and appearing as expected on the target handset — giving you full control over your testing timeline. This builds on the agent creation and editing capabilities that launched earlier this year, completing the pre-launch workflow in a single place.

Identity Presentation – Beta

Bandwidth has introduced Identity Presentation as part of our Authenticated Branded Calling solution. Powered by trusted third-party providers, it displays your brand’s name, logo, and call reason on mobile phones, bolstering customer trust and improving call answer rates. Authenticated Branded Calling also includes our pre-call Identity Authentication API to prevent your brand display from being spoofed, protecting your customers and your reputation.

Voice API debug logs — now available in Voice Insights

You can now view debug logs for your Voice API calls directly in Voice Insights. This visibility includes API request history, webhook delivery attempts, HTTP response codes, and BXML execution events. If something breaks in a call flow, you no longer need to reconstruct what happened from your own application logs or open a support ticket. This is available to all Voice API customers, no changes to your existing integration are required.

Self-Service of Short-Notice FOC Changes and Cancellations

You can now self-serve a date change or cancellation to the Firm Order Commitment (FOC) date of your port-in order up to 10 minutes before your scheduled port time.

Short-notice requests carry some risk, since the carrier may deny them and cause call issues. To help protect you, Bandwidth automatically modifies the service numbers to stop the port-in from completing if you submit a change with less than 24 hours’ notice. Requests made with more than 24 hours’ notice follow the standard process, with no automatic modifications.

Messaging Delivery Enhancements

A new message delivery status is now live, giving customers more granular detail into where their messages are on the delivery chain. The message-sent callback fires the moment messages hit the carrier network, confirming a successful send before waiting for the full delivery cycle. Additionally, the window for delivery receipts has been extended from 12 hours to 73 hours for all messages, reducing premature message-delivery-expired statuses and ensuring greater transparency for each sent message.

10DLC Registration Center-API Access

10DLC campaign registration now lives in Registration Center, your single home for messaging registrations, starting with early access API support in the US. Here’s what’s new:

Faster 10DLC API endpoints: New endpoints cut rate limiting and return clearer, more specific error messages so you can fix campaign issues faster.

Advanced sorting and filtering for 10DLC campaigns: Filter and sort your 10DLC campaigns by status, service class, and creation date through the API.

Expired campaigns hidden automatically: Expired 10DLC campaigns no longer clutter your results, so you spend less time hunting for active ones.

SIP REFER for Inbound SIP URI Calls (EA)

This enhances the recently release Inbound SIP URI Calling feature by supporting SIP REFER for transferring calls. This strengthens the BYO-AI capability by allowing a Voice AI agent to transfer a call and exit the call flow which frees up customer resources. Calls transferred via SIP REFER do not count against the customer’s concurrency limits.

Advanced Call Routing Support For Multiple UCaaS And CCaaS Integrations

Customers can now split call traffic across multiple UCaaS or CCaaS providers using one Bandwidth account. This flexibility lets you route calls the way that works best for your business — whether that’s redundancy, cost optimization, or matching specific providers to specific use cases – without needing to manage separate accounts.

Advanced Call Routing (ACR) Custom Announcements

Configure real-time custom announcements before call handling begins, using text-to-speech or your own prerecorded .MP3 or .WAV file. This supports a range of use cases, such as hybrid or multi-CCaaS environments, where enterprises need the ability to insert network-level announcements, especially when a downstream CCaaS platform is unavailable or experiencing delays.

To enable this service please reach out to your account representative.

Inbound SIP URI calling for Voice API (EA)

This expands our BYO-AI capabilities by making it easier for customers to integrate other applications, including voice agents, directly with the Voice API. By enabling inbound calls to be received via a SIP URI (rather than relying solely on traditional phone numbers) and supporting SIP REFER for transferring active calls, customers gain more flexible call routing options and a simpler path to connecting the voice infrastructure of their choice.
