What's happening?
Effective February 17, 2026, a Campaign Verify (CV) vet and token must be present across all channels (10DLC, Toll-Free, and Short Code) for both new and existing political senders. Campaign Verify plans to issue all token types starting November 5, 2025.
What do I need to know?
The same process that exists on 10DLC for CV tokens is being standardized across all messaging channels. Political committees (or Campaign Service Providers (CSPs) on their behalf) will obtain a Toll-Free token the same way as a 10DLC token, from the same verification request and at no additional cost.
Campaign Verify has sent out a communication regarding this change as well, so please visit their website for more information. Bandwidth will provide updated API docs as they become available.
What do I need to do?
Existing 10DLC token holders: If your committee already has a 10DLC token, simply log in to your Campaign Verify account, access your existing verification request, and generate a new token for Toll-Free or Short Code. This should take about one minute.
Toll-Free or Short Code only senders: If your committee is exclusively sending messages over Toll-Free or Short Code, please submit a new verification request to Campaign Verify beginning November 5, 2025.
