Voice Billing Detail Records

Updated this week

Voice Billing Detail Records (BDRs) provide a detailed view of billable voice calls associated with your service account. There are two types of Voice BDRs reports:

  • The Voice BDRs report provides a detailed view of rated calls, inbound and outbound voice usage, along with the call details used to rate calls within the provided date range. The current service month's records should not be used for reconciliation as the rate and charges are considered estimates until finalized at the end of the service period. Additionally, any discounting you may have will not be reflected in the rates you see in the Billing Detail Records.

  • The Voice BDRs - Statement report provides a detailed view of rated calls, including inbound and outbound voice usage, along with the call details used to rate calls billed on the selected statement. It’s initially available at the beginning of the month, but may be revised until the final statement is delivered. Additionally, any discounting you may have will not be reflected in the rates you see in the Billing Detail Records.

Downloading Voice BDRs

  1. Log in to the Bandwidth App.

  2. In the side navigation bar, select Insights.

  3. Select Reports and click Charges.

  4. Under Type, select Voice.

  5. Under Report name, select Voice BDRs or Voice BDRs - Statement.

  6. For Voice BDRs, use the Call Date-start and Call Date-end fields to select the date range of the BDRs you want to download (up to 12 months back). For the current month, you can download all available records month-to-date. Please note that data may be delayed by a few hours.

For Voice BDRs - Statement, use the Statement field to select the statement you want to download Voice BDRs for (up to 12 months back). Please note that the statement month corresponds to the prior service month. For example, Voice BDRs for the January 2026 statement will include all records from the December 2025 service month. Finalized reports will be available by the 7th day of the month.

  7. Click Advanced Filters to filter your data by additional optional criteria:

    • Under Source Country, select a country or territory a call was placed from.

    • Use Destination Country, select a country or territory a call was placed to.

  8. Click Download Report to begin processing. Once the Status column in the table displays Completed, click the icon in the Actions column to download the CSV copy of the report (it will be available for 5 days). All reports for this category from the last 30 days will also appear here.

Voice BDRs field comparison

As part of our goal to make Bandwidth reporting tools simpler and easier to use, we retired the legacy Voice BDR and Voice Statement BDR reports on February 1, 2026. The following table shows how the new BDR fields compare to their legacy versions.
