Registration requirements | Important: To combat fraudulent messaging in the UK, British Telecommunications Plc (BT) requires any messaging traffic routed through their network using a SenderID associated with specific brands from protected industry sectors to be blocked, unless the brand's approval is obtained and a Letter of Authorization (LOA) is signed by the brand and filed with BT. If you're a brand owner or if you're applying for a SenderID registration associated with a protected brand on behalf of a brand owner in the UK, you must submit a Letter of Authorization (LOA) signed by the brand and filed with BT:
The full list of protected brands cannot be shared, because it changes on a daily basis based on active phishing campaigns, meaning that multiple brands can be added each day. For additional requirements, see Sender ID registration process. |
Country regulations | General consent requirements. For promotional messaging, consent and opt-out support are mandatory. |
Content restrictions | No specific content restrictions. |
