Documentation required by Bandwidth

  • Letter of Authorization (LOA)

  • Latest invoice showing the numbers

Mandatory information on the LOA:

  • Customer Name

  • Local Address

  • Account Number (often a wholesale account number)

  • Authorized Name (person who signs the LOA)

LOA must be fully completed, signed, and dated within 30 days of submission.

The same LOA form is used for both Geographic and Toll-free numbers.

Porting time window

8 AM or 12 PM NZT

Some carriers may activate sooner or later, but most select the 8 AM window.

Changes can be requested via the IPMS portal, as long as the order hasn’t been activated for the day. The losing carrier must acknowledge and accept the change before the order expires.

Possible rejections

  • Data mismatch – incorrect customer name, address, or account/wholesale number.

  • Provider mismatch – provider listed on invoice differs from the underlying carrier in IPMS; requires 3rd party validation.

  • For data mismatches, request an invoice that lists the numbers if available.

  • For provider mismatches, engage the current provider via IPMS/industry contacts for 3rd party validation.
