Registration requirements

For additional requirements, see Sender ID registration process.

In addition to completing KYC with Bandwidth, the Brand Owner of the Sender ID must also complete a separate registration process by reserving their Sender IDs through the SMS Sender ID Registry (SSIR) portal, as outlined below.

Step 1: Create an account in the SSIR portal (before creating an account, please ensure that you or your customer has the following information available):

  • The company's registered name, as per the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA), registered address, and Unique Entity Number (UEN)

  • Foreign-based businesses must obtain a UEN by registering with the ACRA, either as a local subsidiary or a foreign branch office

  • The company's CorpPass for verification purposes. If CorpPass is not available, SSIR may request utility or telecom bills

  • Full name, contact number, and email address of the designated Admin account holder, who will be able to manage user access in the portal

Step 2: List the participating SMS aggregator(s): please list Infobip as the SMS aggregator. Infobip is Bandwidth's local partner in Singapore.

Step 3: List the Sender IDs to be reserved: submit the Sender ID(s) that the Brand Owner intends to use.

Step 4: Complete the registration process

Please note that Sender IDs must be reserved by the Brand Owner or the company that owns the Sender ID and intends to use it for messaging traffic. Once the application is approved by SGNIC, the customer must provide us with the list of approved Sender IDs along with a screenshot from the SSIR portal confirming successful registration.
