Friendly reminders for Black Friday and Cyber Monday

Updated over 2 weeks ago

What's happening?

Black Friday and Cyber Monday are quickly approaching! We know this is a busy time for your business, and we’re here to support you in any way we can. Here are some friendly reminders on how to ensure the best message deliverability this holiday season.

What do I need to know?

The anticipated peak sending times are 9:00am – 3:00pm EST on Friday, November 28, 2025 and Monday, December 1, 2025. Sending outside of these times can help you avoid message slowdowns or having to compete for network space.

What do I need to do?

We highly recommend referencing our Black Friday and Cyber Monday messaging sending guide. Here are some key highlights:

  • Avoid sending at the top of the hour. For example, you can schedule your messages for 3:14pm instead of 3:00pm.

  • Ensure your toll-free numbers are verified. Bandwidth cannot remediate blocking on unverified toll-free numbers.

  • Ensure your 10DLC traffic is properly registered. Bandwidth cannot remediate blocking on unregistered 10DLC numbers.

  • Consider using only the most widely supported MMS file types, such as jpeg, png, or gif. While Bandwidth will accept all file types on this list, downstream carriers and handsets may have different limitations.

  • Stay within the file size limits. We recommend sending attachments no larger than 500 KB to ensure the best chance of delivery.

  • Understand rate limits. If you max out your account level rate limit and your queue size has been exceeded, you'll receive a 429 Too Many Requests error.
