To combat fraudulent messaging in the UK, British Telecommunications Plc (BT) has implemented a regulation requiring any messaging traffic routed through their network using a SenderID associated with specific brands from protected industry sectors to be blocked, unless the brand's approval is obtained and a Letter of Authorization (LOA) is signed by the brand and filed with BT.
If you’re a brand owner or if you’re applying for a SenderID registration associated with a protected brand on behalf of a brand owner in the UK, you must submit a Letter of Authorization (LOA) signed by the brand and filed with BT. To do so:
Fill out the LOA template. The LOA must be on the company letterhead of the Brand Owner (End Client) and signed by an authorized representative from the brand.
Once signed, please open a ticket to submit the LOA to the Bandwidth Registration Support Team so it can be filed with BT along with the Sender ID registration.
