How do I request a vanity phone number?

If the phone numbers (TNs) or toll-free numbers (TFNs) you wish to order are unavailable through the Bandwidth App, you can use the process outlined below to submit a vanity number request.

Note: Vanity number requests include specific TNs and TFNs, rate centers unavailable through the Bandwidth App, and other special requests.

To submit a vanity number request:

  1. Navigate to the submit a request page and select Vanity Number Request from the drop-down menu.

  1. Select which vanity number type you want to request, either TN or TFN.

  1. Provide additional information to help us fulfill your request.

If you selected the TN vanity number type, complete the following fields:

    • Account Name/Number

    • Sub-account

    • Location

    • Quantity of TNs

    • Rate Center

    • If RC is unavailable, are you open to LCA (Local Calling Areas)?

      • Select Yes or No.

    • Consecutive?

      • Select Yes if you want numbers to be consecutive (if requesting multiple TNs). Otherwise, select No.

    • Are you open to non-consecutive?

      • Select Yes or No.

    • All NPA-NXX-XXX combinations you are interested in

    • If NPA is not available, are you open to Overlays?

      • Select Yes or No.

    • Priority of the customer/What is most important to the customer?

      • For example, if there are no TNs available for the requested NPA 919 in Raleigh, NC, would the customer rather have Overlay NPA 984 in Raleigh, NC or NPA 919 in the LCA Cary, NC?

    • Do you need these TNs immediately?

      • Select Yes or Willing to wait on aging inventory.

    • Can we close ticket if we’re unable to fulfill request?

      • Select Yes or No.

If you selected the TFN vanity number type, complete the following fields:

    • Account Name/Number

    • Sub-account

    • Location

    • Quantity of TFNs

    • All 8XX-NXX-XXX combinations you are interested in

    • Can we close ticket if we’re unable to fulfill request?

      • Select Yes or No.

  1. Click Submit.
