Web form testing

To ensure the highest delivery rates and maintain compliance with the CTIA best practices, Bandwidth’s vetting team or automated systems may interact with your web forms to verify that your brand is not using forced opt-in methods.

Forced opt-in occurs when a customer is required to agree to receive messages as a condition of using a service or completing a transaction without a separate, clear choice to decline. In other words, end users must be given the option to provide express or explicit consent when signing up to receive text messages from a brand.

During the vetting of your campaign, you may notice a test submission on your website’s contact or opt-in form(s). These submissions are intentional and allow us to confirm that the opt-in workflow presented to your end users meets industry standards for consent.

Our team uses standardized test data to fill out these forms. You’ll likely see one or more of the following placeholders in your records:

Bandwidth Compliance Vetting Test - Do Not Reply

Downstream partners and carriers require strict adherence to consent guidelines. By testing these forms, Bandwidth helps you identify potential compliance issues early, reducing the likelihood of campaign rejections and avoiding additional vetting fees for non-compliant submissions.

If you have any additional registration questions, please reach out to the Messaging Registration Support Team or your Account Manager.
