ANI

From Bandipedia

Automatic Number Identification

ANI is an SS7 signaling tag that transmits the Billing Number of the calling party through the voice network. ANI and Calling Line Identification are often confused as the same, but they are not. While ANI does deliver the number of the calling party like CLID, ANI does not depend on the presence of SS7 signaling throughout the entire network and ANI information cannot be blocked by the calling party.
