A Location/SIP Peer refers to numbers on the Phone Number Dashboard that are associated with a Location that a customer creates and manages. That location contains the routing instruction (destination IP address). Within the API, the Location is called the SIP Peer.
How Bandwidth is Involved with Location/SIP Peer
Customers associate phone numbers in the Bandwidth Dashboard to a Location, which informs Bandwidth where to send the call.
What Are the Benefits of Bandwidth Using Location/SIP Peer
In the Bandwith Dashboard, customers can use Locations to quickly change call routing. For example, in disaster recovery, move numbers to an alternate SIP peer.
