Location/SIP peer

A Location/SIP peer refers to numbers on the phone number dashboard associated with a Location that a customer creates and manages. That location contains the routing instruction (destination IP address). Within the API, the Location is called the SIP Peer.

How Bandwidth is involved with location/SIP Peer

Customers associate phone numbers in the Bandwidth Dashboard to a Location, which informs Bandwidth where to send the call.

What are the benefits of Bandwidth using location/SIP peer

In the Bandwidth Dashboard, customers can use locations to quickly change call routing. For example, in disaster recovery, move numbers to an alternate SIP peer.
