Thank you for notifying us of your concern

Bandwidth.com is a nationwide telecommunications and VoIP provider serving primarily busines s customers. Many of our customers use our VoIP services in a wholesale manner, offering services of their own together with a Bandwidth.com telephone number to their end users. In these cases, Bandwidth.com does not have a relationship to the end user or any information about the end user and how the number is being used by the end user. In fact, Bandwidth.com may not provide any of the features of the end-user’s services even though they may include a Bandwidth.com telephone number.

Due to a variety of laws (including federal laws related to Customer Proprietary Network Information (CPNI)) we are generally prohibited from disclosing our customer of record name to you, however, please be assured we will contact our customer to whom the number is assigned for their research and action as may be appropriate.

In the meantime, if you are receiving the unwanted contact on your wireless phone, you may be able to use the features provided by your wireless provider (either on their network and/or on your handheld device) to block the number from contacting you. If calls are coming into a landline, you might consider contacting your phone service provider for inbound call identification and blocking assistance. Additionally, depending upon the situation, you may want to report your concern to local law enforcement.

Additionally, please be aware it is entirely possible calls are being “spoofed” (for example, spoofing is always the case if you call a number back and it is not in service). “Spoofing” a number means inappropriately placing a false number as the caller ID of outgoing calls across another carrier‘s network. For further information regarding spoofing you might find this link useful: https://www.fcc.gov/spoofing.

Although we may not respond to you individually, please be assured we will review your concern and as may be appropriate we will contact our customer of record accordingly.

Thank you again for bringing your concern to our attention.
