Bandwidth Community Code of Conduct
Bandwidth’s customer community is a collaborative space built for learning, connection, and professional dialogue. To keep this environment safe, helpful, and welcoming, all members are expected to follow the guidelines below. Bandwidth Community administrators will enforce this code.
Be respectful and professional
Treat others with respect and empathy. Harassment, harmful content, personal attacks, discriminatory language, and disrespectful behavior are prohibited.
Protect confidential and sensitive information
Your participation in the community will be visible to other members. Do not share sensitive, personal, or confidential information, including:
- Customer data or proprietary information
- Support case numbers, logs, or credentials
- CPNI or other details about rates, usage, or account-specific information
- Internal Bandwidth documentation or private communications
Posts or comments containing sensitive information will be removed when flagged. Members may be redirected to the proper channels for support or resolution as appropriate.
Community content may not be reproduced or redistributed outside of the community without Bandwidth’s written permission.
Keep the community helpful and constructive
Share content, ask thoughtful questions, and contribute in ways that support learning. Stay on topic, avoid misinformation or speculation, and keep feedback actionable and respectful.
Stay engaged
Your participation is essential to make this community a success. We expect all our members to show up! We may suspend access or remove user accounts after a period of inactivity.
Use proper channels for support issues
The community is not a substitute for Bandwidth Support or an escalation channel. Any account-specific or technical issues must be routed through Bandwidth Support.
No selling, soliciting, or promotional content
Sales outreach, vendor advertising, competitive recruitment, and customer poaching are prohibited.
Gifts and incentives
Gifting seeks to build strong relationships and reward users for participating in the community. Small gifts and incentives may be offered to users of the community. Please do not accept gifts or incentives if doing so conflicts with your company’s policies. Government officials are not eligible to receive any gifts or incentives.
Membership eligibility
Bandwidth Community membership is available by invitation to employees of eligible and verified Bandwidth customers. Eligibility is determined in Bandwidth’s discretion and requires that a customer be in good standing and with a recent traffic profile that complies with Bandwidth’s AUP and all applicable legal and industry requirements. Members must be able to demonstrate continued compliance with these standards to remain eligible. Vendors, partners, competitors, and Bandwidth Build customers are not eligible for membership. Contact [email protected] for questions regarding membership.
Consequences of violations
Depending on severity and frequency, violations may result in:
- A warning
- Content removal
- Limited access
- Temporary suspension
- Permanent removal from the community
Bandwidth may escalate serious or repeated violations to the Bandwidth Legal team and may take action at its discretion to maintain a safe environment. Community moderators may remove any member at their discretion, with or without a specific violation of this Code.
Your participation in the Bandwidth Community is also subject to our website Terms of Use and Privacy Notice.
If you observe behavior or content that violates this Code, please contact us via [email protected]. Moderators will review submissions and take appropriate action.
