What’s new

ANI-Based Call Routing is now available in Beta. Route inbound calls to different destinations based on the caller’s number (ANI/CLI). For example, send calls from a New York area code to your East Coast team, or send a VIP caller to a dedicated agent.

Highlights

  • Route by area code (3 digits), exchange (6 digits) or full number (10 digits).
  • The most specific rule always wins (longest prefix match). Set broad area-code rules, then override with specific numbers.
  • Configure rules in bulk with a CSV upload, up to 10,000 prefix mappings per ANI route. Download your current table as a CSV anytime.
  • Calls that match no rule fall through to your existing routing.
  • Configuration changes are audit-logged, so support can trace who changed what.

Beta limitations

  • US and Canada (NANPA) numbers only, entered as digits with no country code.
  • The portal table is read-only. To make changes, export the CSV, edit it and re-upload it. An upload replaces the entire table.
  • Fixed prefix lengths only (3, 6 or 10 digits).

Availability

ANI Routing is in Beta and available on request to customers on the Universal Platform who use Advanced Call Routing, at no additional charge. To request access, please reach out to your Account Manager.
