Voice API disconnect callbacks now flag carrier analytics blocks
Bandwidth Voice API disconnect callbacks now tell you when a terminating carrier’s call analytics blocked your outbound call, and where to go to fix it.
When a carrier rejects an outbound call, the disconnect callback includes a new sipStatusLine field with the full SIP status line, such as SIP/2.0 603 Network Blocked.
If the carrier’s response includes a SIP Reason header, you also get it in the new sipHeaders.reason field. It carries the carrier’s analytics details and a redress URL. Some carriers send a generic 603 Decline for analytics blocks, so when the Reason header is present, it’s how you tell a block from an ordinary decline.
The result: your team can spot blocked traffic faster and know which carrier to contact. Both fields are optional and additive, so existing integrations keep working with no changes.
For field definitions and example payloads, see the Disconnect webhook documentation.
